After the restart everything with TPM worked as it should and I am now encrypting the drive. Before this update was installed I did not have these options. Sorry for the very light picture, BUT what the update did was add that "SHA-256" option and the "Disabled" and "Enabled" options. I installed it because I had nothing left to lose and when I did, the BIOS security TPM option(s) had listed some additional options which made me hopeful. After trying other solutions I went to the Dell website and downloaded their TPM driver, which downloaded a firmware "update" but it was actually taking the TPM back a couple of versions. it could be a driver or windows component is. Is there anything "unidentified" in the system? I mean a device missing drivers, software giving errors like missing DLLs, etc.

Is there a BIOS update? I know we had an issue where we needed the newest BIOS (And another issue where we needed to downgrade the BIOS).I'm not great with TPM but two questions:
